The s.s. Wellington, with the English mails via San Francisco, left the Manukan at 5 p.m. on the 29th ult., and called at the different ports, arriving at the Bluff at 9.45 a.m. on the 4th. From Manukau to Taranaki, experienced moderate winds, with fine weather ; from thence to Nelson a fresh S.E. gale was encountered, with heavy sea. During the remainder of the passage light variable winds and fine weather were experienced. We are indebted to the purser, Mr H. B. Monkman, for files. The s.s. Kangitoto arrived from Dunedin at 9 a.m. on the sth. She left Port Chalmer3 at 4 p.m. on the 4ch, and experienced fine weather on the passage up.
