Mr F. R. White, forwarding agent, Winton, reports that the rate of freight from Winton to Kingston is now £5 per ton, with a prospect of a .further reduction as. the season advances. Goods from D nnedin, landed at the Bluff, reach Queenstown in from six to seven days. The railway charge from the Bluff to Winton is 10s per ton.
