Mrssrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report, for the week ending 27th July, as follows : — Fat Cattle — The supply was again a full one. 63 head middling quality were yarded, of which jre sold 20 head, principally small heifers, at from £8 10s to £5 10s. We also sold privately 55 head prime quality at 22s 6d per 1001 b, at •which figure we quote prime quality ; middling do, at 17s. Fat Sheep — The demand is good, hut very few are offering. 560 were penned and sold a3 follows :—3CO irerino wethere, poor quality, at 9s 3d ; 180 merino ewes, at from 6s 9d to 7s 3d ; 80 half-bTeds, at from 15s 3d to 16s 3d. A few picked half-breds brought 20s 6d. We quote prime quality mutton, 3£d per lb. Store Cattle and Store Sheep — No transactions. Horses — For good heavy draught colts and . strong horses adapted for coaching there is a fair inquiry, but light and inferior animals are dull of sale. We quote first-class draughts £45 to £50 ; medium do, £25 to £30 ; good hacks and light harness horses, £18 to £23 j medium do, £12 to £14 ; light and inferior, £3 to £6. Giain — There is little alteration in the aspect of the market. Wheat is in good demand at from 5s 3d to 5s 6d per bushel for good samples. Oats, moderately firm, at from Is 9d to Is lOd per bushel for feed, and 2s to 2s 2d for prime milling samples. Barley — prime malting worth 5s 3d to 5s 9d per bushel.
