An Eeeob. — The late Lord George Bentinck used to be termed " The Parmer's Friend." He was a Protectionist, and was thus described by one of his party in manuscript intended for the printer. A free-trade wag of a compositor dropped a letter, and the next morning the author of the article was horrified in finding that he had been made to describe the AntiCorn Law leader as the farmer's fiend. Every column of a newspaper contains from ten to twenty thousand distinct pieces of type. The displacement of a single one makes an error. Is it strange '■ that errors occur ?
