The Daily Telegraph of the 15th inst. reports : — There has not been any change of importance in the value of breadatuffa during to-day. Flour has been quitted at £16 to £16 5a in small lots. Best samples of wheat hare been quitted at 7s 3d. Oats are in good inquiry, and prime samples have been quitted at 33 4d to 3s sd. 200 bags Chevalier barley brought 6s 3d per bushel. Maize continues to be quoted at 3s to 3s 6d. The cargo of the Bebecea Jane, consisting of 4,958 bags and pockets of Mauritius sugar, was offered to-day, but with the exception of 60 bags, the whole was passed in. Since the public offering we are informed that the shipment has changed hands at a very full rate, leaving the market almost completely controlled by one firm. Advices from Mauritius of 3rd May, state that only one yessel was loading for Melbourne, the market being entirely cleared of greys. Kerosene oil has been in better request, and 2s 10£d has been refused for some 1,000 cases ; some sales , have been, closed at Is 10£d. Candles have been in better inquiry, and sales reported at 11 id for best foreign heavy-weights. In spirits we cannot bear of much business, but sales of old brandies have been reported at 10s to 12s for Otard's and MarteU's respectively. Hennessy's case brandy bas been placed at 26s 6d in bond. Bottled beers have been in fair request, and Guinness's, bottled by Burke, as well as other brands of good quality, command 10s 6d to Us. American nails have been sold in large parcels at 28s and 30a- _^^
