AN ENQUIRY.

Sib, — -Some, time ago I read in the pages of your contemporary a review of a volume of poema published some yeara ago by Mr John G. Smith. Since then I have made enquiry in every direction, and cannot find a copy anywhere. As Mr Smith ia a correspondent of yours, perhaps you can inform me where I can get a perusal of the volume. — I am, kc, Enquibbb. [In answer to Enquirer, we have to state that in 1862 Mr Smith published an edition of hia poems of one thousand copiea, which were all exhausted in a few weeks after publication. Mr S. brought half a dozen copies to this colony, but he has lost sight of them all except one, which of course he is unwilling to part with. We cannot tell where the other copiea are to be found.— Ed. S.T.] ♦■
