Galme, afternoon 13th. The Indian Budget statement shows next probable income to be £48,750,000, and the expenditure £48,500,000. No loan for the year is proposed. The £2,500,000 required for public works, is to be provided from loan funds. An influential committee has been formed at Bombay, to raise funda for a memorial to Lord Mayo. The Lushai Expedition troops have returned. The Mahommedan rebellion is causing anxiety to the Chinese Government. ' A' collision, between the Peninsular
and Oriental steamer Geelong, and a Norwegian barque, is being inquired into at Hong Kong.
