Sib, — A.s the information I conveyed to you respecting the delay in paying the contractors' claims against the Oteramika Road Board, through the failure of the Provincial Government to make the subsidy available, has been called in question by Mr Stewart, the clerk to the Board, I beg to state that to my certain knowledge two of the holders of vouchers had to wait upwards of two months before they obtained a settlement of their claims. I would also like to ask by whose authority Mr Stewarfc took upon himself to write the letter which appeared in your paper ? — Tours, &c, Wji. Dawson, jun., A Member of the Board.
