Our readers, says the Ballarat Courier, will be glad to learn that the Ballarat Meat Preserving Company have received most satisfactory letters from their agents in London and Paris, Messrs Tondeur & Co. These gentlemen report large sales of the company's meat in both markets, the mutton realising 6d a pound. They say that the Ballarat brand is now the most popular in the market, the outside get-up being aa much admired as the taste of the contents of the tins. They add that they hope and expect to be able to report, by the following mail, that they have accepted large contracts for the supply of these meats to the English Government.
