_ The port of Riverton despatched 417 bales of pool, 13,697 bushels of oats, and 680 bushels of foarley, the declared total value being £13,934. lit should be noted that a quantity of the grain despatched by Riverfcon was forwarded to the Bluff, where it lies for transhipment. That accounts for the export of grain in the general returns published above being smaller than those noted for Riverton. The quantity of sawn timber shipped during the month was 140,000 feet from tbe Bluff, and 1,000 feet from Invercargill, making a total of 141,000 feet, the whole of which was consigned to Dunedin.
