Business Notices TSARRON, GRANT & CO.'S COFFEE has held the highest place in public estimation for the last nine years. They admit that it. is dearer, and those who use it admit that it is better than any other Coffee in the market. Their name is not put on the label of inferior Coffee. May be ordered through any Storekeeper, and is con» sfantly kept in stock by the following Special Agents : — MITCHELL & CO ... Invercargill JAMES PATERSON ... Port Molyneux STEWART & GOW ... Balclutha SOUTTER, HISLOP, & GRAY Tokomairiro JOHN BEIGHTON ... Teviot ( Queenstown J. HALLENSTEIN &CO j Arrow C Cromwell THOMSON BROS. ... Port Chalmers D. J. MALLOCH ... Waikouaiti C Hampden P. F. STODDART ... < Moeraki (. Oamaru rnHE difficulty those who know and appreciate really good COFFEE experience in obtaining it, especially in the Country Districts, is in a great measure due to carelessness on the part of the Storekeeper with whom they deal, who generally prefers to sell that which costs him least, and which he can consequently sell cheapest. No really fine Coffee can be retailed under Iwo Shillings per lb ; although it does not necessarily follow that all sold at that price must be good. The Coffee prepared and packed by BARRON, GRANT & CO., Dunedin, is undoubtedly the finest in the market, but its price, and the fact that larger profits can be made by selling inferior descriptions, has- hitherto prevented in a great measure its being so thoroughly well known throughout the country as it ought to be. No respectable storekeeper will, however, refuse to obtain it for a customer, on being asked to do so nor will anyone who has once tried it, fail to mark the contrast when compared with much of the rubbish formerly used, and estimate it at its true value. MITCHELL & CO. PROSPECTUS OF THE NOKOMAI FLAT GOLD MINING COMPANY (LIMITED.) /CAPITAL, £1000, in 2000 shares of 10s each, \J subdivided into 8000 scrip of 2s 6d each, payable as follows, viz. : — 2s 6d per ahare on aplication, 2s 6d on allotment, and the remaining 2 calls at intervals of one month. Peotisionai Committee : Thomas Whitaker, Thomas Aiton, Job Coulam, Samuel Butson, Thomas Nichols, William Soper, Hugh Cameron, and H. T. Evans. Bankers (Invercargill and Queenstown)— j Bank of New Zealand. Treasurer ... ... Job Coulam. Secretary H. T. Evans. This company has been formed for the purpose of working the Flat opposite the Lower Township, Nokomai. It has already obtained an extended claim, and has also applied to the Superintendent for a Special Grant, which has been recommended by the Warden. The ground is believed to be highly auriferous, and it is the opinion of all the miners in the district that there must be heavy deposits of gold in the flat, as independent of the run of gold in the Nokomai, the runs on many or all of the rich spurs and gullies in the neighborhood of the Township have been traced into ground now intended to be worked by this Company. As there is a great extent of ground at present unoccupied, which, in the event of thi3 Company proving successful, is certain to be taken up and worked by other Companies, thereby opening a steady and remunerative field of employment for a large population, it is needless to impress upon the minds of business people and others interested in the prosperity of the Border Goldfields, what an impetus it will give to the business of Invercargill and Queenstown (and indirectly to that of Dunedin), and to the affairs of the district of Southland generally. Application for shares to be made to the Secretary, Nokomai, of whom forms of application t can be obtained, enclosing 2s 6d for each Bcrip' ; or, the amount to be lodged in the Bank of New Zealand, Invercargill or Queenstown, to the credit of the Company, and the Manager's receipt for the amount sent with the application. Wanted YXJ ANTED a Young Girl as nurse. Apply to VV Mrs Edmund Rogers, North Road. WANTED two First Class Men. Apply to Geo. Saunders, Butcher, Doe-street. WANTED a Bullock Driver. Apply to W. B.
