Hokitika, Jan. 28

The Rangitoto arrived here at 6 a.m. She left Melbourne at 6 p.m. on the 22nd. Passengers — Capfc. John Stewart, Mrs Todd, Mr and Mrs Harris, Miss and Master Fraser, Mrs D. M'Eachen, Mrs Gr. Watkinand family, Messrs Davies, J. Patterson, Mitchell, Preshaw, John Macintosh, and J. W. Shanklin.

The branch mail steamer Alexandra arrived at G-lenelg at 11 o'clock on the night of the 17th, and the Bangalore anchored in Hobson's Bay on the morning of the 19th. She brings dates from London to the Ist December, with telegraphic news to the 23rd. She left G-alle on the 27th, and strong head winds caused the delay in her arrival.
