Waihopai is got by Secundus, well known to be one of the best blood horses ever imported to this Colony, out of Amethyst, by Indian Warruw, imported by R. F. YOUNG LEAMINGTON is a dark brown horse, by Leamington ; dam, sister to Mercy, by Romulus, her dam, Selina, by Fitz Teazle, out of Rally', by Hyacinthus, imported by Money Wigram, Esq. Leamington, by Faugh o'Ballagh ; dam, Pantaloon, a mare bred by Lord West, minster. He won the Chester Cup twice, and a great many other big races. Faugh o'Ballagh's performances are well known to all racing men. He was the best horse in England of his year. Leamington will stand at the Elbow, and travel the surrounding districts. New Warrior has distinguished himself as the sire of Tarragon, Tim Whiffler, Volunteer, Potentate, Warrior, Romula, and many others, and is acknowledged to be the most successful sire ever imported into the Australian Colonies. Cboydon's performances on the turf stand unequalled by any horse bred in Otago. Ajb a four-year-old he won the Canterbury Maiden Plate, beating a large field, including Southern Chief, Foretop, and other good horseß j he also ran third in a large field for the Christchurch Plate, Manuka being first with Knottingley second.
