Osbobnb, Auctioneer, reports ;— 7 ~ yaras"on oaturday last 1 was imuch better attended than any stock sale which has been held lately, and prices realised were highly satisfactory to the vendor. Dairy cows, with calves at foot, brought from £7 10s to £11 10s • horses,from £8 to £21. 4 The sale of merchandise in the rooms attracted a good many buyers,: and several lots were quitted at satisfactory rates.

D. Maobobie, Auctioneer, reports :— • ; The last sale of cattle_ at. Wallacetown on the 16th was well attended, but prices evinced scarcely so keen an anxiety to effect purchases while each lot passed under the hammer, and had it; not been for holding out for reserves, there would not hare been many sold. Unfortunately, though the yards were pretty full, come of the stock, ' which had been looked forward to, did not come in, owing to the height of the rivera. The stock which -principally changed hands was of a mixed description, and prices ranged from £2 17s 6d to £5 15s per head. - • Invercargill, 19th December, 1870. . •
