BYE-LAWS--1; All Stock shown must be honajide the property 1 of the Exhibitor or his Principal. 2. Entries in writingmust be lodged with the Secretary three clear days before the day of show, when, the Tickets will be given, stating the class in- which 'the entry is made ; which ticket the person in charge of the animals or articles intended for exhibition must produce at the gate, in order to show in what position the Exhibits are to be placed. " • 3 An Entrance-fee will be charged to competitors on each exhibit, at the rate of five per cent, for subscribers, and 10 "per cent, for nonsubscribers on the amount of the first prize in the" class i in which the entry is made. 4. On payment of the annual subscription for the year ending 30th September, 1871, a card will be given, bearing the Member's name, which shah admit him to all the Society's exhibitions during the year. 5. All Implements, Machinery, -&c., must be placed in the Show Yards before 5 p.m. of Wednesday, 7th December, and all live stock before D a.mi of Thursday, Bth- December, except Horses, whichmuit be in the yards by half-past 9 a.m. Notb.— lntending Competitors are particularly requested to observe the latest date fixed for the reception of Entries, that the " Entry Ticket " . must be produced with each lot at the^ gates of the Show Yard, and alsothat^ no animal or article will bereceived for exhibition in the Yardß after the dates and hours specified, as the rules having reference tb'these 'matters will be strictly enforced j except incases where it can be proved" to the' satisfaction of the Committee, that the delay was the result of circumstances over which the intending Exhibitor had no control. - „ -One-man will be allowed in charge of each .lot if necessary. 7. Any implement adapted to the.' agriculture of the Colony, which may be brought forward, shall receive a prize if considered meritorious. In awarding prizes "for implements) " workmanship, utility, and cheapness will be considered. The Judges are empowered to withhold the prizes in any department in which there is hotsufficient merit. Their decision in all cases to be final. Illj. Any prize awarded shall "be oonfiidered ito have lapsed if not" applied "for within twelve months from date of award.
