Through the courtesy of the agents, Messrs H. J. Gibbs and Co., we are enabled to state that the clipper ship Chile, Captain Culbert, arrived last evening at the lower anchorage, Bluff - Harbor. The s.s. Phoebe crossed the Manukan bar at I*s : p.m. on the 12th, and arrived at Taranaki at 1.10 s.m. on the 13th ; sailed half-an-hour afterwards, and arrived at Nelson at 4.30 p.m., leaving there - et 10,30 p.m., and arriving at Picton at 7 a.m. on the 14th j waited 20 minutes, and then left for "Wellington, arriving there at 0.40 ; left at 7.45 p.m., and arrived at Lyttelton at 2.30 p.m. on the 16th j sailed at 4.5 p.m., and arrived at Port Chalmers at 0.40 p.m. on the 16th ; left again at 6 p.m., and arrived at the Bluff wharf at 11.45 a.m. yesterday. Experienced fine weather with . light variable winds from Manukau to Picton, and from there to Wellington strong N.W. winds. ; Light and variable winds were again met with to Lyttelton, and from there to Otago thick weather and rain ; from thence to the Bluff strong S.W. wind with head sea and rain.
