Gulnare wa3 foaled in 1822, and imported fin England into New South Wales by Mr Jan Macarthur, of Camden Park. Calendar (half-brother to General Chasse) v .imported to New South Wales by the Auatrali ■Agricultural Company ; was got by Canteen, < of. Hambletonian, out of Monica, by Sir Pc (vide Stud Book). Cassandra's sire, Tros, by Pram, out of Al byPartizan; was bred by Lord Albemarle, a imported to New South Wales by Mr Kater, 1840 (vide Stud Book). Alice Grey's sire, Old Emigrant, by Pione out of Ringtail, by Buzzard ; was bred by J Rush, in 1822, and imported to New Soi Wales by Admiral Kous, ILN., in 1828 (v Stud Book). - Bay Camden is therefore as thoroughbred Eclipae, and combines in his veins some of i Tory best strains of racing blood. His da Cassandra, made her appearance on the Aust lian Turf in 1857, and in the short period of ei§ months beat every horse of note then on that to the veteran Jorrocks included. Bay Camden's own performances as a ra horse, under all weights, are far too numerous enumerate, and of such a character as to hs -stamped him as the best: aged horse that e^ figured on the Victorian turf. His symmet substance, bone, good constitution, and his bei a sure foal-getter, all recommend him as a sire. Bay Catnden for three years gamed the fi prize against every competitor at the Canterbn show; once with Traducer, Lethard, Antido and Tom -King, all imported horses.
