The poles to be sawn from the heart of totara. ' The poles to be of the following dimensions : — Twenty-five (25) and tweniy (20) feet long (in proportions hereafter to be determined), to be eight (8) inches square at the butt, and six (6) inches square at the top. The poles to be sound, straight, and free from shakes, knots, and sap. N.B. — No pole will be accepted which contains the least sap or speckled, \ timber. !
