THE CLARENDON COMPANY.

(to thb editor ofthb tucks.) Sib,— Considering the debts of the Clarendon company have now been paid, and that only a few have paid up the full amount of thsir shares, may I ask in the name of all common sense or fair play what is the meaning of the delay "which is taking place in getting the affairs of the company settled? Those who had the management of the concern would most likely hare been very ready to remain in office had the company's claim been paying £1000 a week, but as such, unfortunately, is not the case, I cannot see why its affairs should be so culpably neglected, and why the few should pay for the many,— Of ours, &c, Paid-up. LONDON AND GLASGOW.
