Nelsow, Sept. 9. Mr Harris, late Sub-Treasurer at Wesfcport, was brought up again to-day. Mr Pitt, barrister, of Westport, defended. The witnesses examined were — Mr Lespie, agent of the bank at "Westport ; Mr Sharp, late Provincial Treasurer ; and Mr Shepherd,; present Provincial Treasurer. The prisoner was committed for trial. The Bench agreed to accept bail — himself in £800, and two; sureties of £100 each. The bail is expected to bo forthcoming from Westport. The Crown Prosecutor said it was probdfcie other charges of a graver nature — -namely, of tampering with vouchers— would be brought against the prisoner. .
