Airedale left the wharf at Onehunga on the 15th inst at 11.45 a.m. having received the English mail from the City of Melbourne at 11.15 ; crossed the Manukau Bar at 1.30 ; light variable winds to TaranaH, where she arrived at 1.30 a.m. on the 16th ; discharged mails and cargo, and sailed at 4.30 ; encountered a strong BJE.gale, head sea, and rainy weather. An-_ anaTHfat 1/L5 1 a.m. on the 17th ; arrived at Picton at 9.45 same morning, and proceeded again at 10.20 ; strong winds across the Straits. Beached Wellington that afternoon at 3.30; loaded and discharged cargo, and sailed at 0.15 a.m. on the 18th ; light head winds and fine weather to Lyttelton ; anchored there at 6. p.m. same day ; discharged and loaded cargo, and left again at-7.30 that night ; first part of passage variable winds, from 6 a.m. of 19th till arrival, fresh •winds, and thick stormy weather. Anchored at Port Clalmers at 2.15 p.m. on the 19 th j discharged and took on board mails and cargo ; entered and cleared at Customs, and proceeded for Bluff at 4.15 p.m ; had easterly winds throughout, and arrived at 7.30 a.m. on the 20th, having delivered the mail at the Bluff in 4 days and 20 hours from leaving the Manukau. Passed the Claud Hamilton at midnight off the Nuggetts. . The M.,' A., and N. Z. Co.'s s.s. Tararua as-rived at tha jrcharf at daylight on the 21st, from Melbourne via the Northern Ports. She left Hobson's Bay- at 2 p.m. on the 6th, and anchored within the Headß for the night in consequence of a strong southerly gale ; " passed through Port Phillip Heads; atßJ.s.a.m. on the 7th ; experienced strong southerly and westerly winds until nearing the land.o Anchored. off Hokitika at 11 p.m. on the llth/making the passage in 4 daysand 13 hours. Calledijit TGreymouth, Nelson* Wellington, and Lyttelton,, and "arrived in Pert Chalmers. at 2 p.m. on the 19th'; sailed for the Bluff and Melbourne at 4 p.m. on the 20th, and arrived here as above.
