L Tallow is healthy, and all was sold at 43s to 43s 6d, beef; sheep, 455. For wool there is a good demand, and the quarterly sales were spirited. Large * purchases were made for the Continent ; prices firm. The arrivals were large, but were rapidly cleared. 1 Hides were steady j a firm market was expected. Flax was firm, and large sales were made. Stocks were cleared, and a steady demand for the future was anticipated. Large sales of flax to Continental buyers has been the cause of the improvement in that article. Kauri gum was firm ; and the market was cleared. Livebpool, July 9th. Wheat, 10s 3d to 10s 4d per cental. S^n Fbanci3CO, July 10th. The corn crops in Arkansas and Mississippi have been very much injured by a tornado. /There is very little movement in breadstuflk to Australia. Prices in San Francisco permit of no exports, and consequently only three vessels have cleared for Australia in six months. "Wheat is active. The price in Liverpool on the 10th was 10s 4d per cental.
