A shoemaker named Rennie has been arrested on suspicion !of being connected with the Clyde robbery. He confessed all j about it to the police/ and toot them to the place where the treasure was hid. All has been recovered except 30ozs of inferior gold, and two bundles of notes— about £550. . The offenders are in custody. The treasure was hid in four different places, extending over a distance of 40 miles. I One policeman is said to be implicated. An enquiry takes place this afternoon.
