As only one girl! ! ! has attempted the solution of any of the last propounded questions, they will remain open till July 13th, in the hope that the youth of both sexes will be stimulated to attempt their solution, involving as they do the simplest principles of common arithmetic and mensuration. Puer has Bent a conundrum and three Bums for insertion in the Corner, of which the former "ia generally known, and the whole of the latter will be found in jne or other of the arithmetic class books in common use. We would have liked better if Puer had sent us a solution of the questions already propounded. We wish every Puer, and Puella too, to send us solutions, addressed to " • Calculator, ' Southland Tnras."
