The increase ! of rabbits in the Colac shire is (remarks the Observer) something enormous, and the number of them can only be compared to the sand of the sea-shore. A gentleman who was travelling in Cundare last week attempted to give us a description of the herds of these animals which he met on his path. He states that they went in droves, verj much like the buffaloes of America; and that there were " thousands upon thousands" intercepting his . progress. If the sporting gentlemen from other parts of the colony wish for a week's thorough shooting, we believe they will be heartily welcomed by the settlers ; and firearms and ammuniare gratuitously provided at many " places for those who will assist in eiterininating'these pests. Mr Gale, the aeronaut, made a second successful ascent from the volunteer '.'pauride^grpund, in Geelorig, on the 7th.
