' Hobabt Towing April 16. Mr Samuel Page has purchased Ellenthorpe hall, Boss, from Mr Charles Clark, for £24,000. A letter has been received from Bishop Murphy stating :that he had presented the Latin address from the clergy of this diocese to the Pope, who conversed with the bishop about Tasmania and showed much interest In it. A letter has been received bj__ the Salmon Commissioners from Dr G-unther, a piscatorial authority in England, ia reference to the two fish caught here some time ago, and said to be young salmon.
