QEALED TENDERS will be received at the Inspectc* of Stores' Office, Wellington, up tc 12 o'clock, noon, of the 20th May, 1870, for the supply of the undermentioned goods, to be manufactured in the Colodv of New Zealand, quality and texture of material to be the same as pel samples, which can be seen at the various Militia Offices throughout the Colony. Twenty-five per centage of the quantity ordered to be delivered to the Colonial Storekeeper, at Wellington, within eighteen months from the date of the tender being accepted j the remainder to be delivered at the same place and in similar quantities every six months until the contract is completed. 10,000 yards Blue Serge, *) Tender to state whether 2,000 yards White Flan- > single or double width, nel, for shirts ) and at rate per yard. Bonds, with two sufficient securities to be named, wfll have to be entered into. The amount of the Bond to be fixed by the Government. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. ALTERATION OF TELEGRAPH CHARGES. ■VfOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on and after the Ist April, 1870, the following uniform rate of charges for telegrams transmitted on the lines of the New Zealand Telegraph will come into operation : — Ordinary telegrams from any station. to any station, for the first ten words, (Is) one shilling; for every additional five words, at fraction of five words, (6d) sixpence. Press telegrams from any station to any station, for the first ten words, (6d) sixpence j for every additional fifteen words, or frac< tion of fifteen words, (6d) sixpence. No charge will be made for signatures ; bui it must in all cases be tie usual signature of the person sending. By order of the Telegraph Commissioner, C.
