The Government intend sending the Ngatiporou in pursuit, and Kemp and Topia will also go, but without pay, though the Government finds them in rations. Mr Joseph B. Borton, Otago, has been gazetted a Warden and Resident Magis/trate. Nelson, March 7th. The Government intend to offer the natives the sum of £5000 for the capture of Te • Kooti, on the principle of no capture, no pay.. An enquiry has been ordered into the doings of Colonels M'Donnell and Fr aser, with respect to the recent escape of Te' Kooti. The Governor and Mr Fox left for the Waikato on Thursday. At the great native meeting to be. held at \Kaglau shortly, 2000 natives are exipected''to attend. Some -splendid gold has been brought into Nelson from this claim.
