Hobaet Tovrs, Jan. 28th. In the Supreme Court, in banco, in the matter of Field's insolvency, the composition has been sustained. In W. "W. White's insolvency the appeal is allowed, and the case goes back to the commissioner, which is virtually allowing the composition. At auction to-day, 100 shares in the Commercial Bant sold at £158 10s ; one "Waterworks debenture realised £103 ;12 shares in the Tasmanian Navigation Company sold at £10 17s 6d ; four do realised fill. Jan. 29. Dr Coverdale is to be retained at the Queen's Asylum. The annual meeting of the Anglo- Australian G-uano Company (Limited) was held to-day. The company's prospects have not improved, and shareholders are dissatisfied. Lattitcestoit, Jan 28. A public meeting is convened for Thursday next, to adopt a farewell address to Sir. Valentine Fleming, on his retirement from the chief justiceship. The case of Overell v. Eobertson has terminated, as the defendant has failed to prosecute his appeal to the Privy Council. ■ '•
