Messrs Wright Stephenson, and Co. report for the week ending the 15th inst., as follows : — Fat. Cattle. — We yarded one draft, very good quality, which realised prices equal to 25s per lOOlbs for prime beet, and for middling from 20s to 22s 6d. Fat Sheep. — In eonseqaence of the late floods, the supply was moderate ; two small lots sold by us at auction brought from 6s 3d to 6s 6d each. We quote prime n-utton, 13s 4d ; middling, IJd per lb. Fat Lambs. — This market was largely supplied, 340 being penned, mostly medium quality ; the , pries* ranged from 6s 3d to 9s 6d each. \ Jbore Cattle. — There ia but little activity in this description of stock Quotations :— Bullocks, 3 vrs and upwards, £4 10s to £5 10s ; mixed lots, £3 10s to £4. Store . Sheep. —We have no sales to report ; quotations nominal. Country Sales. — We held our monthly sale at Anderson's Bay on the 12th. There was a large number of cattle entered for sale, but the demand was not brisk. Cows brought from £4 to £6 ; heifers and steers, £2 10s to £3 10s. On the same day we sold at Round Hill, near Oamaru, 200 acres growing wheat, at £3 5s per acre. Horses. — A few sales of medium draught and light harness horses were effected at our yards on the 15th, but although the attendance was numerous there was no great amount of business done. We quote heavy draught, £40 to £45; medium, £28 to £37 ; inferior, £15 to £22 ; good hacks and light harness horses, £20 to £25 ; useful, £10 to £16 ; inferior, £2 5s and upwards. WooL — Our auction sale, held on Monday, tb.9 10th inst, had a moderate attendance of buyers. The catalogue submitted comprised 694 bales, of which 181 were disposed of. Messrs Miandress, Hepburn, and Co., of Dunedin, report having held, on the 17th inst, at the pressing store of Mr J. W. Jago, Stuart-street, their periodical sale by auction of flax and tow.
