MAJOR is a powerful dark bay horse, black points, stands 16£ hands high, is of fine symmetry and good temper, and is at present in excellent health and condition. Major is by Prince Charlie, imported from Scotland by Mr James Macintosh, of Victoria. Dam by Planet, imported grand-dam by Tom o' Lincoln, also imported. Old Prince Charlie was never beaten in Scotland or the Australian Colonies. Major has been shown twice in Victoria, and gained a first prize each time. He is known to be a sure foal-getter. Any settler wishing to improve his stock would do well to obtain the services of this valuable stallion. A good paddock provided at Invercargill for mares, free of expense, to the end of the season ; but no responsibility. All fees to be paid before the removal of mares.
