Bluff, December 17, 1869. The steamship Tararua, Captain J. Eagley, Commander, arrived at the wharf this morning from Melbourne at daylight. She left the above port on the 11th instant ; experienced stroDg north east winds on the passage down, and arriving at this port at midnight last night— making the run down in 5 days and 9 hours. She brings 92 tons of cargo for this port, and 300 for other New Zealand ports. December 19. The Circular Saw Company's s.s. Phoebe arrived at the wharf this morning at 7. She left the Manakau on the 9th, called at Taranaki, Nelson, and Picton, and arrived at Wellington on the 14th ; sailed for Lyttelton, arriving there on the 16rh, and at Port Chalmers on the 17th ; sailed for the Bluff at 4 pm. on the 18th. Experienced fine weather round the coast, and light easterly winds from Port Chalmers to the Bluff, arriving here as above. We are indebted to Mr Wheeler for Northern files.
