STANDTHIS SEASON, The Thoroughbred Entire, MACARONI, PEDIGBEE. By Lord of the Hills (imported) out of Amethyst, (imported), by Ambrose, out of Heroine of Lucknow, by Nutwith, out of Pocahontas, (dam of Stockwell, Rataplan, &c.) Lord of the Hills, by Touchstone, out of Fair Helen, by Pantaloon, out of Rebecca, by Lottery, &c, is own brother to Lord of the Isles, winner of the Two Thousand Guinea Stakes, and was bought as a yearling at Doncaster, for eighteen hundred guineas. He is now covering in New South Wales, at Thirty Guineas, and has already distinguished himself there as the sire of Glencoe, the Italian. Blondin, Paradise, &o. Terms — Six Guineas ; to be paid before removal of mares. N.B. — A paddock of three thoasand acres provided, where every care will be taken of mayes, but no responsibility incurred. TO STAND THIS SEASON, At Invercargill, and travel the districts of Wallacetown, Winton, Mabel, and One Tree Point, &c, &c, the favorite imported draught entire, MAJOR. MAJOR is a powerful dark bay horse, black points, stands 16£ hands high, is of fine symmetry and good temper, and is at present in excellent health and condition. Major is by Prince Charlie, imported from Scotland by Mr James Macintosh, of Victoria. Dam by Planet, imported grand-dam by Tom o' Lincoln, also imported. Old Prince Charlie was never beaten in Scotland or the Australian Colonies. Major has been shown twice in Victoria, and gained a first prize each time. He is known to be a sure foal-getter. Any settler wishing to improve his stock would do well to obtain the services of this valuable stallion. A good paddock provided at Invemargill for mares, free of expense, to the end of the season ; but no responsibility. All fees to be paid before the removal of mares. STEWART having been appointed to the mastership of Riverton School, begs respectfully to inform the inhabitants of that town and vicinity, that he will re-open the classes on Wednesday, the 17 th day of November, inst.
