The M.A. nnd N.Z. Company's s.s. Rangitoto arrived at the wharf at 9 a.m. on the 9th in«t. from Melbourne via West Coast and Dunedin. She left Hobso l's Bay at 4.50 p.m. on the 22nd nit., passed through the Heads at 7.18 p.m., and Wilson's Promontory at 1.15 next day ; experienced strong head win r ls, with heavy sea ; mnde the land at 3 a.m. on the 25th, and arrived fit Hokitika at 10 a.m. ; sailed at 6.30 p.m. on the 29th, arrived at Nelson at 5.30 n.m. on the 3 th; left for Wellington at 6.25 a.m. on the ?nd, arrived at 3.45 p.m. same day ; sailed at 2.30 p.m. on the 31sfc, called at Ly^elfcoo, an<^ arriwd »t Port Chalmers at noon on the sth mat.; sailed for the Bluflf at 5 p.m. on the Bth, and experienced fine N.W. winds on the passage up, and nrriv d as above.
