The Circular Saw Company's s.s. Phoebe arrived at the wharf at 7 a.m on Wednesday. She left Auckland ou the 13th ; encountered a heavy gale from the eastward shortly after leaving, and anchored under Mercury Tsland on the 14th, until the gale moderated. Sailed again on her voyage at 4 p.m. same day; had strong head winds to Napier, where she arrived at 4 a.m. on the 16th. Sailed for Wellington at I p.m., arriving at noon on the 17th. Sailed at 6 p.m. on tiie 18th, and arrived at I/vtt«lton at 1.30 p.m. on the 19th. Left for Port Chalmers at 3.30 p.m. on the 20th, and arrived at 11 a.m. on the 21st. Sailed for the Bluff at 3 p.m. on the 23rd ; experienced thick weather with strong head winds, arriving here as above. The Phoebe has received at Sydney a very extensive overhaul to her machinery and hull, and has taken up the berth of the Company's s.s. Airedale, which has gone to Sydney for repairs. We are indebted to the purser, Mr Wheeler, fer our Northern files. The M.A. and N.Z. Company's s.s. Claud Hamilton arrived at the wharf from Melbourne, via the Weßt Coast and Dunedin, at 10.15 a.m. on Wednesday. She left Hobeon's Bay at 8 __ , - ii- -l/Ml r- j - _.!_ ._. Experienced strong westerly winds on the passage to the Bluff. The fine ship Kob rt Henderson, the first of this season's wool ships, anchored at the Heads on Wednesday. .She was brought up into the inner harbor next morning, but the train left before our reporter could board her ; her manifest and report will be given in our next issue. ♦
