ABBIVED. October 14 — Larwick, 15 tons, Scollay, from Stewart's Island, with one passenger. Master, agent. October 14— Nelly, 10 tons, West, from Ruapuki. October 15— Crishna, 254 tons, D. Hughes, from Newcastle, N.3.W., windbound. SAILED. October 14 — Flyingr Scud, 15 tons, Cross, lor Stewart's Island. Master, agent. October 14— Waimca, 15 tons, Sherburd, for Stewart's Island, with stores, and one passenger. Master, agent.
The barque Crishna, from Newcastle, bound to Lyttt'lton with a cargo of coals, put into this port on the 15th, windbound. She left Newcastle on the 4th inst., and experienced strong gales from the north-east until making the land. Entered the Straits on the 14th, with a strong breeze from the south east, which increased during the morning to a gale. Finding the vessel making no headway when past Ruapuki — being exposed to the full force of the gale and sea, and only thrashing her canvas to piecesCaptain Hughes bore up for the Blutf, aad arrived at fie whirf at 2 p.m. The barque has 365 uns of coals, which will be sold here if a rem il i 'dative price can be obtained.
