ELECT JRALDISTRICf OF NEW RIVER IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled, " The Regulations of Elections Act, I 1858," I, Charles Rous Marten, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of New River, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the seventh day of September, 1869, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zualand, an ELECTION will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as a MEMBER of the Provincial Council of Southland for the said Electoral District, and that the NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES will take place at the School House, Wallacetown, on Friday, the 22nd day of October, 1869, at noon, and that the poll (if necessary) will take place on Monday the 25th day of October, 1869.
