The sire, Agronomer, was bred by Mr Westfield, of South Carlton, Lincoln, and exhibited at the Royal Agricultural Society's Show held at Lincoln, England, in July, 1854, where he was awarded the first prize as the best yearling Agricultural Stallion. Black Douglas has proved himself a sure foal* getter, and his produce is second to none in the Port 1 and District. Terms — Three Guineas, to be paid on the 28th February, 1890.
