Times Office, Saturday Evening.^ The following 'are the Customs returns for — Feujat, July 30. Sundries £5 15 3
The subjoined commercial intelligence is from the « Daily Times' of tb,3 28th ult. :— In the import market to-day, operations have been very inconsiderable, sales not extending beyond small parcels for current requirements, and furnishing nothing of interest. We cannot note any item as having been in inquiry, the nearness of the end of the month preventing any manifestation. Messrs M'Landress, Hepbui-n, and Co.'s clearing sale of groceries, &c. , attracted attention, but the lines quitted were moderate in extent, and witnessed no alteration in prices for standard goods. A parcel of Devoe's kerosene offered realised for the first lots 2s Id and 2s 2d, the balance not being allowed to go at tbe rate. Corn sacks, presumed light weights, realised 13s ; Provincial flour, £12 ; mustards, £lbs, 8s ; ditto, libs, 12s 9d ; curry, large size, 18s 9d. Parcels of goods with all faults : damaged salt at 60s, and sundry items in oilmens' stores and dried fruits a 1 more or less out of condition. In the produce market we have no variation to note. The limited supplies of grain coming to hand are still met by a good enquiry.
