ABBIYED. July 8. — Phoebe, s.s., from Worth. The Tararua, Hagley, Commander, arrived outside at 5 o'clock a.m., on the 3rd inst., from Melbourne, and entered at daylight. She had a passage of lour days, 13 hours ; left on 28th ult. ; had westerly winds first part of the Voyage, and latter part fine. She brings 18 chief, and 31 steerage passengers, and 256 tons cargo for all ports. Ihe Airedale left Onehunga wharf at 11 a.m. on the 24th June, and anchored off Taranalri at 7 a.m. of the 25th. Sailed at 4.15 p.m., and arrived in A'eJson Harbor at 8 a.m. of the 26th. Had strong north-easterly winds and thick weather throughout the passage from the Manukau. bdiled froni Nelson at 9 a.m. on the 27th, and at 3 p.m. stopped of Cannibal Cove to land passengers ; reached JPirton at 5 p.m. the same evening, and failed 'at 6.15 a.m. on the 28th. Brought up oil Tawhuite, and received 26 casks of whale oil, arriving at Wellington at 1 p.m. the same d») . On the 2nd, the sea m the Straits appearing to have gone down a little, weighed, and proceeded at 7 a.m., but before 2 p.m., the sou-wester again gained strength, and blew with redoubled fury, making the sea featherwhite. Brought up at the Kaikouras at 5 p.m., and remained at anchor there till 5 a.m. on the 3rd, and finally reached Lyttelton at 2.20 p.m. the same day. Had a strong southerly wind and head sea from the Kaikouras. Left Port Cooper at 4.20 p.m. bn the 3rd, and anchored at Port Chalmers at noon on Sunday. Encountered head winds and a strong beam sea from Lyttelton to Otago. Sailed again from thence at 4.30 the same afternoon, arriving at the Bluff at 8.30 a.m. on the sth. Had strong north-westerly winds, and high beam sea. '
