Co-oi'jshla.tion., — 'A new system of cooperation is suggested by th 9 author (evidently a lady) of a series of articles just concluded in the ' Atlantic Monthly Magazine. She proposes Co-operativehousekeep-ing that is, thatm'stresses of families should unite, and, by a divison of labour, facilitate the difficulties attendant on the management of homes and young fainiEe3. For instance, one lady should do all the button - sewing ; while those specially qualified should look after the babies, and others devote thera-
selves to doctoring and nursing. We would suggest that, as some ladies are specially gifted with oratorical and hortatory powers, they should bs told off to " blow up" the servants ; and a selection of matrons should be appointed to give good advice to husbands addicted to staying out late, bri aging home friends to dinner without asking leave, admiring strange bonnets, and other matrimonial offences.
