GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
FOX ATTACKS THE MINISTRY. "Wellington, June 10th. Little save purely formal business has yet been transacted by the Assembly. Nearly all the members are now in their place, and the two great parties are about to measure their strength. Yesterday Mr Fox gave notice that on Tuesday next, he would move a substantive vote of want of confidence in the present Government. The intimation, though not unexpected, was received with expressions of strong feeling by both sides of the house. Mr Stafford said he held in his hand resolutions bearing upon the native policy, but of course could not move them until the motion of which notice had just been given, had been decided. Business is therefore in{a measure suspended, pending the issue of a party struggle. No war news of importance from either point.
