Per Tararua, from Dunedin— Cabin : Bishop Harper, Messrs Conway, Mackerras, Butts, and Watson ; and one in the steerage. The s.s. Tararua, Captain Hagley, arrived at the wharf from Dunedin yesterday morning at 9.30. She left Port Chalmers at 5:30 the previous evening, and experienced fine weather down the coast. She has ten saloon passengers, and 33 in the steerage, from Dunedin for Melbourne. The Jamea Paxton, Capt. Greig, left Otago Heads on Saturday, 17th inst., at 5 p.m., and had got past the Nuggets, when a gale sprung up, and forced her to put back to tjie Nuggets and anchor there. On Tuesday, got under sail again, weather fine, but strong head winds throughout the passage ; reached Bluff Harbor wharf at 8 a.m. on 23rd. Captain Greig reports the Barque Duke of Edinburgh, from Dunedin, bound for Newcastle (N.S.W.), going through the straits as he came up. Per Phoebe, from Dunedin — Mr Erhmann, and 1 in steerage. Per Gothenburg, from Melbourne — Miss Brown, and 1 in steerage. Per Gothenburg, for Dunedin — Messrs Dalgliesh, Harvey, Kelly, Mackerras, Porter, Hay, Charters, M'Gregor, Abbott and Carrick ; 13 in the steerage. Per Phcebe, for Dunedin — Mr and Mrs Towers, Miss Towers, and 1 in steerage. Per Rangitoto, from Northern Ports — Saloon : Misses Conolly and Grey, Messrs Petchell, Howard, and Kingsland ; and 2 in steerage. Per Rangitoto, for Melbourne — Saloon : Mrs Wild, Mrs Lewarn, Messrs Menzies, Buchanan, McFariane ; and 9 in steerage.
