TKe first series of Colonial wool sales fer the presjent year commenced on the $sth. o( February. They comprised 0,580 bales. Thefe wjis a good attendance of the home and foreign trade ; bidding was not animated. For Port Phillip and Adelaide wools, prices ruled in favor of buyers, perhaps to the extent of from |d to ld per lb ; Cape showed little alteration ; Sydney and New Zealand were offered in too limited quantities to present a fair criterion of value. Arrivals, 117,340 bales.
