Proposals for the recall of Mr Reverdy Johnson have been referred to the Committee for Foreign Affaire. A steamboat collision has taken place on the Ohio River. Some petroleum on deck caught fire, and as soon as the steamers came into contact they were in flames. About one hundred lives were lost. Twenty ladies were burn to death or drowned.
