Weight for age. Entrance, 2 soys. Ladips' Puhse, 20 soys. Open to all horses. Welter weights for age. Gen' lemen riders j professional riders to carry 71bs extra. Distance one mile and a half. Entrance, 2 soys. Hack Race of 10 soys. Once round the course. Heats. Catch weights. Entrance, 10s. Post entry. SECOND DAY— FEIDAY, FEB. 19. Handicap Hurdle Race, 40 soys. Open to all horses. Distance, l£ miles. Heats. Over five flights of hurdles, 3 feet 9 inches high. Entrance, 2 soys. Ltvebcabgill Handicap of 70 soys., with a sweepstake of 4 soys. each added. Distance, 2i miles. Entrance, 2 soya. ; half forfeit if declared after weights are published. Handicap (distance) Tkottin& Race, saddle or harness, 25 soys. Distance, three times round the course. Entrance, 2 soys. No weight under ten stone. Consolation Handicap of 20 soys. For all beaten horses during the uideting. Distance, once round the course. Entrance, 20s. Hack Race of 10 soys. Instance, once round the course. Heats. Catch weights. Entrance, 10s. Post entry. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entries will be received for any of the Races except upon these conditions, that all claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or a mivjority of them, whose decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the above programme, shall be final. S.R.C. Rules strictly adhered to. No person will be allowed to enter or run a horse unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber of 3 soya. to the Kace Fund — unless he be a member of the Southland Racing Club, when 1 soy. shall qualify. Allentries must be sealed and addressed to the Stewards (entrance money enclosed), with name, age, pedigree of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. Three horses to be entered, or no public money will be added. No Jockey allowed to ride except in the colors entered. Entries must be made to the Stewards, and addressed to the Prince of Wales Hotel, Invercargill, before the hour of eight o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 16th of February, 1869. Handicaps will be declared the same night, except for Invercargill ' Handicap, which will be declared on the evening of Thursday, the 18th of February, 1869, at Sutherland's Bridge Inn Hotel, at 8 p.m. All dogs found on the Course will be destroyed, irrespective of ownership.
