Government Advertisements £1000 REWARD. npHE above Reward will be given by the Provincial Government for the discovery of a GOLDFIELD in the Province of Southland, within twelve months from the date hereof, which shall, within a period of six months, yield not less than 8000 ozs. of gold, or £500 reward for the discovery of a Goldfield outside the boundaries of the Province, yielding within the same period 8000 ozs. of gold, from which it will derive a direct and exclusive commercial benefit. TT is hereby notified for general inmormation, that from and after the seventh day of January 1869, the Pilot Establishment at present maintained at the entarance to New River, in the Province of Southland, will be discontinued, The Masters of all Vessels trading to Invercargill are warned to prepare for this change.
