HOBSB CLYDESDALE HEEO. pLYDESDALE HERO is a splendid Light \J Bay Horse, of immense power and perfect symmetry, quiefc temper, and good constitution j stands Sixteen Hands High, and possesses great bone and muscle, a good worker, and sure foal getter. He is out of the imported mare Scotland's Pride (imported by G. H. Lee, Esq.,) by the famous Scotch horse Tom Sayers. Tom Sayers took the First Prize at Kirkintulloch, when only two years old ; Second Prize at the Highland Society's Show at Dumfries; and when three years old, First Prize at Dalbeatie, in Galloway ; same year, Second Prize at the Highland Society's Show at Perth ; and at four years, First 'Prize at Coupar, Fife j when five years old, First Prize at Hamilton, Lanarkshire. Tom Sayers was bred by Mr Lockhart, Kirkmanoch, Stranraer, and of a thorough-bred Clydesdale mare, got by Rob Roy, the sire of Black Leg. PEDIGREE: Scotland's Pride was foaled in 1857, bred by Mr John Anderson, of Smythson, Scotland ; the celebrated Clydesdale mare, which gained the First Prize at the Highland Society's Show at Dumfries, in 1860, beating thirty-two others, considered very superior over all in her class (see Journal of Agriculture of the Highland Society of Scotland). The Sire was the celebrated Clydesdale Horse Lbfty, who gained the Premium at Glasgow, open tb all Scotland and England. Clydesdale Hero will travel the Riverton and surrounding Districts.
