The Board of Trade returns show a decrease of 8 per cent in the exportation as compared with last year. Tenders are invited for a South Australian loan of £40,000 (?). The Victorian loan, it is anticipated, will be successful. Wool Sales, September 25. — The arrivals comprised 58,583 bales from Sydney, 64,003 from Victoria, 8,855 from Tasmania, 50,960 from New Zealand, 11,864 from South Australia, 480 from Swan River, and 31,382 from the Cape of Good Hope ; total, 226,127 bales. 41,504 bales have been withdrawn, of which : 17,600 remained in first hands. The ' general character of the wool is faulty. Superior wool was sold at 2d under the June rates ; medium is 3d lower ; inferior, especially Queensland, Sydney, Eiveri'na, and South Australia, with which the market was glutted, was 4d lower. For next series, 42,605 bales had arrived, and 2,500 afterwards came to hand.
