POLITICAL— PROVINCIAL.
The Provincial Council is just now in session. The occasion of its being called together at this time of the yqar is to set aside the land to finish the Oreti Railway, and to accept a tender for com. pleting the same. It is more than probable that we will be enabled to state , next month that the works have been proceeded with. This work will be the " means of employing all the superfluous labor, besides opening up a splendid tract of country.
